What is a timer relay operator?
A timer relay is a component that is designed to entrain events in an industrial automation system, closing or opening contacts before, during or after the set time period. These devices are compact and consist of:
• An oscillator which provides pulses.
• A programmable timer integrated circuit.
• A static or relay output.
You can adjust the meter with a potentiometer graduated in units of time, located on the front of the unit. In this way, the team drives following the closing (or opening) of a control contact and reach the number of pulses, ie after that timing, generates a control signal for the exit.

Static Output Devices
There are two versions available (Work and Rest), with different ranges of timing. These relays are connected directly in series with the load voltage whose start is delayed or withdrawn.
Relay Output Devices
There are the following versions:
• Work of Work and Rest or Sleep.
• To contact step.
• Intermittent (symmetrical or asymmetrical), starting phase of work or rest.
• For star-delta starters.
• Multi-function, which brings the benefits of the previous relays.
These relays allow you to select various time ranges using a switch.
Some models have the following remote controls and settings:
• Starting the timer for outside contact.
• temporary suspension of contacts with external timing.
• Adjusting the timing external potentiometer.
The selection of these teams is very simple, as it depends on factors such as standard supply voltage, timing range, number of contacts switched and type of function to perform.

Applications
The timing relays allow simple automatic cycles wired or may be used as a complement to industrial PLCs. These teams can be found in the following applications:
• Industry and construction: Boards simple machine control, process control.
• Automatic Door.
• Alarms and access control.
• Turning lights.
• vehicle barriers.
• engine parts.
• In general, applications that require waiting times and frequent adjustments simple.
